Saivi House is a care home located in Palmers Green. It provides personal care and support to people with learning disabilities and/or autism. At the time of the inspection the service was supporting 4 people.

The assessment took place on the 24th of February 2025.

The assessment was an unannounced assessment, so the provider was not given prior notice. The assessment was conducted in response to concerns raised to both CQC and the local authority regarding management of the home, appropriate documentation, staffing levels and quality of care

The inspectors found that in response to issues raised at a recent visit by the local authority the service had increased their staffing. Additionally refresher training in various areas had been either scheduled or completed.

Under the heading of caring the report stated that: "The provider always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity.". Inspectors observed caring interactions between staff and those supported and understood their varied communication needs.

The report stated that staff reported a "firm but fair" approach from the management. Staff said they felt supported and confident in their role.

Feedback from relatives was mixed, with some saying that they were happy with the quality of care but 1 saying that they felt communication could be better. Relatives felt there could be more engagement though inspectors did observe people supported "taking part in activities and being supported to do things they liked".

The service retained a rating of ‘Good’ in all areas.
