Alzheimer’s Awareness Month – Let’s Make a Difference Together
September is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, a time to come together to challenge stigma, share knowledge, and show support for those affected by dementia.

This year, the Alzheimer Society invite you to take part in a range of activities across Enfield that promote understanding, prevention, and inclusion. Whether you’re a resident, carer, volunteer, or local business, there’s something for everyone to get involved in.
How You Can Take Action
- Become a Dementia Friend – Join a free information session and help make Enfield more dementia-friendly.
- Attend a Community Event – From dementia-friendly walks to music for memory sessions, we’re hosting events that bring people together.
- Light Up Enfield – Help us turn the borough blue on World Alzheimer’s Day (21st September) by lighting up your windows, buildings, or social media.
- Share Your Story – If you or someone you know has been affected by dementia, your voice can inspire others.
- Support Prevention – Learn about brain health and how lifestyle changes can reduce dementia risk.
Let’s make Enfield a beacon of awareness, compassion, and action. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels supported and understood.
