NHS Junior Doctors

The members of the British Medical Association (BMA) and the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association (HCSA) have voted in favour of the strike.

Strike action will impact all hospitals at the Royal Free London - Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and Royal Free Hospital.

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust are working hard to ensure they minimise disruption to services, emergency care will be prioritised and patients seeking urgent treatment will be seen.

They may have to cancel some planned procedures and outpatient appointments, but patients will be contacted directly if their care is affected. Therefore, patients should assume their appointment or surgery is going ahead unless they have been told otherwise.

Throughout the strike, consultant cover will be in place to maintain safe patient care along with the normal number of nurses and allied health professionals. They are advising patients who have concerns and need to speak to someone for advice or reassurance to contact their clinical team using the contact information on their appointment letter.
