London Ambulance Service survey

The findings from our report will help London Ambulance Service to shape their vision and goals for the next five years, and improve urgent and emergency care based on your feedback.

During November 2022 to January 2023 we spoke with over 90 local residents to gather their views and experiences of London Ambulance Service (LAS).

Around half of the people we spoke to had used LAS in the last year.

Key findings

You told us that you wanted to see:

  • Quicker response times
  • Mobile, rapid response teams to make visits and assessments
  • More effective hospital handovers
  • Better pay and conditions for staff
  • More effective primary care to reduce the burden on urgent and emergency care services.

There needs to be a more cohesive approach, starting at the GP surgery who seem not to be able to see you so direct you to urgent care or A&E.
