Come along to our free high blood pressure support event later this month. Have your questions on high blood pressure answered by doctors, get a free blood pressure test, and hear from the Enfield Wellness Network and NHS Diabetes team about their work and how you can get involved.

Speakers will include:

  • Enfield Wellbeing Network, who will be speaking about the variety of activities and services they offer
  • NHS Diabetes team, who will be sharing healthy living tips and support
  • Doctors of the World, who support people who don’t speak English, or who have English as an additional language, to get the help, guidance, and treatment they need.
  • Diversity Living Services and Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health Trust, who will be carrying out free blood pressure checks and offering free help and support to local residents.

Background

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, affects around a third of adults in the UK. Its symptoms are often unnoticeable but left untreated it can increase the risk of heart problems like strokes or heart attacks.

To raise awareness of the dangers of high blood pressure, and to improve the information, support, and guidance available to local people at risk of hypertension, we’ve launched a new engagement programme in partnership with North Central London Integrated Care Systems. Find out more about the programme and click here to book your place at the event.
