The Enfield Diversity Forum is a place of learning and getting information and tips about various issues from healthy lifestyles, mental health to access to employment. Basic snacks and refreshments will be provided. 

These forums are a fantastic learning opportunities to keep participants updated with the services and opportunities that are available to residents facing multiple socio-economic disadvantages and exclusions in the London Borough of Enfield.

Participants are welcome to raise their own issues and will have a chance to directly ask questions to speakers or seek support from organisers. Such support could include face-to-face advice about access to employment, various services, referral and signposting you to further support.

As part of the Great Mental Health Day that will take place across London on 26 January 2024, Diversity Living Services and partner organisations are pleased to invite you to attend the first Enfield Diversity Forum.

Objectives:

To use Great Mental Health Awareness Day with the aim of getting Londoners talking about mental health, to highlight the great support available, and, crucially, take the stigma out of asking for help when needed.

To facilitate Enfield BAME communities and residents facing multiple socio-economic disadvantages to come together and engage in community conversations about a whole range of services and learning opportunities.

To facilitate learning, networking, access information and knowledge about various issues, services and opportunities that are available in the London Borough of Enfield.

People attending are welcome to raise their own issues and will have a chance to directly ask questions to speakers or seek support from organisers and participants. Such support could include face-to-face advice about access to employment, various services, referral and signposting you to further support.

Speakers:

  • Thalie Martini (the CEO of Breast Cancer UK): Mental Health Inequalities and Healthy Lifestyles.
  • Dr. Cristina LOPEZ-PEIG (Enfield GP):Mental Health, Eating well, Physical Activity and General healthy habits.
  • Margaret Thorli ( the CEO H&R Training Professionals): Access to Employment and Entrepreneurship
  • Leo Thorncroft (London Borough of Enfield). Hate crime and the type of support available for those affected.
  • Amina Bukhari ( Nutritionist/ Diversity Living Services): Eat Better, Live Longer: Understand Your Body Needs To Stay Healthy.
  • Farheen Ambia ( Healthwatch Enfield). What is Healthwatch Enfield?
