Hello, we have an important update from your local NHS team.

Measles cases are rising fast in Enfield and across London. Many children have become very unwell and some have even been hospitalised.

Measles is very contagious. Symptoms include a rash, fever, sore red eyes, a cough, sneezing, a runny or blocked nose. The rash can be harder to see on brown skin, so check for spots inside the eyelids and mouth. 

Measles is not just a childhood illness, adults can get very ill with it too. This Guardian article shares people’s real stories about how measles affected them.
