In these challenging times, it's easy to feel isolated or overwhelmed, especially when you need a helping hand. Whether you're facing difficulties in accessing care or simply in need of a friendly voice, we're here to assist you and find the support you need.

Our community has a powerful resource in the NHS and Care Volunteer Responders program. Let us know how we can assist you, and we'll make sure you're connected to a caring, dedicated volunteer responder.

Understanding Your Needs

  • Check In and Chat: Volunteers are available to provide a friendly phone call and a listening ear.
  • Check In and Chat Plus: The same volunteer is available to provide regular friendly phone calls and a listening ear for up to 3 times a week for up to 6 weeks.
  • Community Response: Volunteers are available to help by collecting and delivering shopping, medication and other essential supplies including lateral flow tests.
  • Connect support: Volunteers can support people to enjoy hobbies and social activities in their home or in the community. 
  • Pick Up and Deliver: To transport equipment, supplies and medication between NHS services and sites.

Pick Up and Deliver, Engage support and Connect support will need to be requested by a professional referrer such as your GP, other medical practitioner or adult social care provider.
